A composition of tone, tension and time
The Gravity Equal Force Ultimate Sapphire Rose Gold introduces a sophisticated interplay of finishes, tones and architecture. Its sculptural movement architecture is housed in a full 18K rose gold case, contrasting gently with a brown guilloché mainplate and rose gold-coloured bridges. The off-centre sapphire dial appears to float above this composition, while the matte brown nubuck strap brings a subtle, earthy counterpoint. This precise assembly of tones results in a watch that feels effortlessly coherent — where every element supports the next and nothing is left to chance.
Precision that lasts — by science
This timepiece is powered by Armin Strom’s Caliber ASB19, the first automatic movement to feature a stop-work declutch mechanism combined with a Geneva cross inside the barrel. This patented solution controls torque delivery, ensuring equal force is supplied to the regulating organ from start to finish. The result is rare chronometric consistency — maintained over a full 72 hours of power reserve. Opposite the barrel, a micro-rotor enables efficient winding without obstructing the view of the movement’s architecture — preserving the symmetry Armin Strom is known for.
Decorated with conviction. Built with patience.
As always at Armin Strom, all components, visible or invisible, are meticulously hand-finished. The three bridges are bevelled and straight-grained by hand. The mainplate is decorated with a “grain d’orge” guilloché pattern, precisely cut using a traditional hand-operated guilloché machine. Black-polished screws, along with decorative techniques such as perlage, Geneva stripes and circular brushing, are visible throughout the movement and reflect the attention to finishing. Not as ornamentation, but as part of the movement’s visual identity.
Limited, by intent
Only 20 pieces per year will be produced — a rare and radiant statement in independent Swiss watchmaking.
